All records, CD’s, labels, and album covers used to produce our products are original, vintage materials we have purchased on the open market. No reproductions of any kind are used, and supplies are therefore limited. We are selling this item as a collectible only. In addition, none of the copyrights or reproduction rights are being sold or implied. The custom made gold records sold here have no affiliation with, nor certification from, the RIAA. Our awards do not commemorate sales of phonograph records or sound recordings at various sales levels.

Are these "real" gold records?

Though not official RIAA awards, they are assembled with the same gold records used in the music industry. We start with an original, unaltered, factory released pressing of the album you select, mounting it with a specially designed gold or platinum plated overlay to create a one-of-a-kind tribute. (The grooves will not necessarily match since they are intended to be displayed, not played). Our exclusive overlay design allows us bring you some of the most sought after albums in music history, using the actual, vintage records and labels.

How can I request a special title?

Custom awards are available for your own band, or any music from Mozart to Metallica.

For Record Awards (with or without a CD) in the Classic Gold LP format, place your order on the make a request page. Then, send us an original copy of the album. The condition of the record is not important since we'll be mounting it with perfect Gold or Platinum metallic overlay. (The grooves will not necessarily match since they are intended to be displayed, not played). If the album is only available on CD, we’ll mount it in the center of the record where the label would be, as is commonly done in the Music Industry today.

What about custom awards?

We specialize in custom Gold, Platinum, and CD awards for the Music Industry & fans, as well as corporate awards, anniversaries, gifts, and special events. A few examples are shown on the custom awards page. Each of those styles are in-stock and can be made to order when you contact us with a detailed request. We also have the capability to create awards featuring any special design you’d like.

How is it framed?

We use a top quality frame with a gloss black finish, just like the Industry standard used for decades. (Other frames and matte colors are available at additional cost). Every detail is meticulously crafted, from the rich bevel cut matte to the glass face installed instead of acrylic. The result is a museum-quality gold record award designed to last beautifully for years and years.

How do I submit custom logos & mini album covers?

The ARA is the in-house authority we created for these Music Industry style awards. It's the Academy of Recording Artists, proud to have you as a member. You can, however, completely customize the look of the brass plate, including changing the logo and adding a mini album cover. Simply select these options on the product page when you place your order. Then, send the graphics as j-peg attachments to: info@goldlp.com.

Can you print custom labels?

Yes, custom labels are available for achievement awards, gifts, and special events. A one-time $35 set up charge applies. Simply create your artwork and send it to us as a hi-res j-peg attachment. The trim size for the LP records is 4 1/16in diameter. For the 45 rpm records, the trim size is 3 9/16in. diameter. Place a small black dot in the exact center of the label artwork so we can align our die-cutting machine. We also offer graphic design services for custom labels. A basic design is $35, and includes the name of a “record company” printed in the top portion of the label, and a few lines in the lower portion, such as a “song title” and artist.

Do you accept all major credit cards?

Yes, and for secure online shopping all credit card payments are processed through Paypal. You do NOT need a Paypal account to make your payment. If you don’t have one, simply select the box on the shopping cart for non-members. If you prefer to pay with a money order, our mailing address is listed at Contact Us. Sorry, personal checks and C.O.D. orders are not accepted.

When will it ship / what will it cost?

Normal production time is 2 weeks. (Rush orders may be available at additional cost. Contact us for a quote). U.P.S. ground shipment takes just 4 business days or less to most of the U.S. The cost is $19.50 per item for the first two items, including insurance. For larger quantities the cost is approximately 10%-13% of your order total. If you need an order delivered faster, you can select 1, 2, or 3 day shipping at an additional cost, quoted on request.

International Orders

We ship worldwide via U.S.P.S. Global Express Mail, with a transit time of 3-5 business days. For Canada, Europe, Australia, and many other destinations the cost is US$55.00 per item, including insurance.
